The Think Plastics program would not be possible without help from some special friends.
Since 2004 the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA) has actively promoted the bale wrap collection and recycling program – and Baleboard® and Nusheet – to the agricultural community and municipalities across the province.

The Township of Southgate in Grey County was the first municipality to participate in 2004 by accepting scrap plastic at transfer stations in Egremont and Dundalk. Southgate continues to be an environmental leader and a strong advocate for ecological responsibility.
Connon Nurseries® Neil Vanderkruk Holdings Inc, in Dundas, Ontario was the first nursery to participate. Since 2005, Connon has diverted 142,000 pounds – or almost 65 tonnes – of scrap greenhouse film from Ontario landfills. Connon was also the first to incorporate Baleboard® into its hoop house construction.
Thanks also to the thousands of farmers who are recycling their white polyethylene bale wrap and the other municipalities and nurseries who’ve come on board since.
